Life can be hard. It can be harder when you or a loved one has cancer.
When I was diagnosed with cancer I couldn't find any group that addressed my need to feel “normal”. Hospitals are one thing but what I really needed was a safe place around fellow survivors who understood what I was going through without having to do too much explaining. I found such a place in the exercises classes offered by Enliven.
Enliven Cancer Care supports patients, care givers and survivors by offering a broad range of helpful and supportive tools such as therapeutic art, dance classes and yoga. Enliven helps people navigate their deeply emotional journey through one-on-one peer support, weekly group sessions, and general assistance navigating the health care system.
Everyone is welcomed and each connection made is profoundly meaningful.
I wanted to help continue to support the work of Enliven Cancer Care locally, in our community. Their support and understanding meant such a great deal to me and to my family.
